QUESTION:
Can you advise me where I can purchase (Iscador)
Mistletoe essence from?
Thank you,
Sue
ANSWER:
There are two: I'm not sure which one you are asking
about?
First one requires a doctor's prescription and Dr.
Garland does that for my clients/patients... The Iscador
injectable requires close scrutiny, is used exclusively
by cancer patients around the world? Dr. Garland will
wish to do a consult before he will prescribe it... No
charge for his consult... $200 a month for the
injectable...
Second one is an herbal tincture not as potent and does
not require a prescription, which I carry in my herbal
pharmacy... The cost is $97.50 a bottle.
You will need to call 866-605-0420 or 928-636-9425 to
order either one of these...

QUESTION:
Hi Lena,
You wrote in an earlier newsletter about people "buying
in" to the "cholesterol drugs" fallacy. Your article
seems to imply that there is a problem with these drugs,
I have been taking one for a while now. Is that your
opinion, or do you know something that no one else,
except the sellers of Rescue, Is reporting? Am I in
danger if I continue taking the drug?
Thank you.
Kenneth
ANSWER:
Thanks for your question Kenneth. As long as you are
searching for truths and following what you learn you
stand a chance of surviving to a ripe old age...
Yes, your doctor will swear by those drugs since the
drug industry educated (CEU) him/her in medical school and
continues to provide any ongoing education that he/she
receives... I know, I scheduled the appointments for
doctor's and I also attended the CEU classes for medical
personnel of which ALL are the Drug industry's way of
assuring their medications continue to be prescribed...
Your doctor is unaware that there are natural
alternatives to the chemical poison medications since it
is not taught in medical school or continuing education
class, therefore he/she cannot tell you about them. They
do not get nutrition training and cannot tell you about
that either... I was not taught those things in nursing
school either and had to go outside the medical industry
to learn them on my own... You will have to be the
detective and search those out for yourself as well...
Since the pharmaceutical industry is working very hard
to squelch any publicity that points to their drugs in a
bad light, the chances of the general public hearing the
negatives is very remote... So it's going to depend on
their scientist's blowing the whistle, which a few are
now doing and being blackballed from working in the
industry making it more dangerous to the patients who
are consuming these drugs and thinking they are safe...
My friend Dr. Shane Ellison is one of those
whistleblowers?
FYI, my 45 year-old sister-in-law almost died because of
both Lipitor and Zocor until I saw her and worked at
finding out what was happening to her... When she
started exhibiting symptoms her doctor simply switched
her from Lipitor to Zocor thinking something would
change and that didn't help and then he tried to tell
her it wasn't the medications causing the problems and
said it was psychological... She was almost totally
depleted of minerals and her muscles, tendons and
arteries were in severe spasm with mental confusion
making it hard for her to even think on the simplest
things. You know the heart is the biggest muscle in the
body and would have eventually shut down completely...
Her doctor, like so many, does not believe in
recommending minerals or vitamins if you eat well, which
is a real fallacy
read Why
click here, and so she was fast on her way to
exiting this world.
You are fortunate that severe side effects haven't shown
up yet... Sadly the majority of side effects are not
detected or recognized by the doctor as side effects to
the medication until it is too late...
You need to know that the cholesterol scare that the
drug industry has perpetrated is not legitimate for
heart disease precursor's... Now that the goal set up
for the patient is to get cholesterol down below 100 a
number that is going to kill gross numbers of people, as
the body needs cholesterol to function. As with
everything in life, each person is different and some
will require large amounts while others not so large.
Death will most likely never be attributed to these
medications as the cause by the medical profession. If
you will read your insert that should come with your
medication, if in fact your druggist even puts it in, it
will tell you that no evidence exists that
cholesterol lowering medications will reduce heart
attack or stroke risks, which is the very reason the
drug companies and your doctor say you should take them?
Does that make sense? Not to me? My dh started out with
cholesterol readings over 800 in his early forties
(almost 30 years ago), which was just at the beginning
phase of testing in order to prescribe their NEW
medication. He took their new medications until I
started seeing what was happening with our patients in
the office and then I convinced him to stop them. Thank
God it was for less than a year and he has had no long
term side effects that ever came to light... I watch is
diet and he takes herbs and minerals and since then his
cholesterol readings are in the 280 to 400 range, with
his doctor pushing to try and force him to take the
medications, which my dh smartly refuses to take... In
2003 his physician was so sure he had blocked
arteries due to his long term elevated cholesterol
readings that he was ready to clean out his carotid
arteries with surgical intervention, but we went for a
second opinion to a specialist and demanded tests and
when they did carotid and arterial ultrasound and MRI
testing his veins and arteries have almost no plaque -
less than 3% - which is lower than most people's. Now if
cholesterol was a factor he would have blocked arteries
everywhere but he does not. Just more proof that their
medications are not necessary... Does that mean he will
not develop a heart problem? Who knows as that is so not
totally understood at this time and I doubt that it ever
will be... It is now slowly coming out that inflammation
may be the culprit creating blocked arteries and not
cholesterol plaque... It may or may not be the cause but
that's much easier to treat, if you know how? MAYBE 20
years from now, if enough of us demand accountability
from the drug companies, enough scientists will become
honest enough to release the true story behind this drug
motivating farce. Of course the drug companies have to
make their billions of dollars first... Paying attention
to inflammation and preventing it from occurring should
be the goal, with the information now surfacing, but
drug companies can't make money with that premise
because their chemical antibiotics are not effective for
that purpose. I see doctors now starting to prescribe
antibiotics trying to prevent it, but their antibiotics
cannot do it properly as the body doesn't recognize
chemicals as legitimate treatment? Pay close attention
to gum inflammation and ongoing viral infections and
work to clear and prevent them?
It's not just my opinion regarding those medications
either. Being a triage nurse in medical offices/clinics,
before and after cholesterol medications came on the
market and the bogus scare by the drug companies, I
watched and handled the calls to the doctor's from
patients who had horrific side effects and realized it,
but I also paid attention and I watched those become
more ill as the months and years rolled by after
starting the medications, but they nor their doctor had
a clue their illnesses were actually being created by
their medications and sending them to their death...
Only the drug maker knows those toxic facts but is not
telling us or doctors or is so subtle when mentioned
that no one is catching it.
Medicine is not an exact science and the majority of
doctor's do not have the true medical story for treating
so why should we expect them to know it all... They get
what the pharmaceutical industry gives them, unless they
are smart and start to look at things outside those
teachings. Thankfully some are changing their way of
practicing medicine and looking at herbs and natural
preventative medicine as the true answer, but so very
few at this point... Doctors are human, and like most
people will choose to take the easy way through life and
that means not questioning!
You asked and that's my answer!

MOTIVATOR
~^~^~^~^~^~^
THE TRUST
FACTOR
Are you aware of the TRUST FACTOR? The
higher your trust factor is - your ability to
trust other people and to be trusted yourself -
the higher will be your level of life
satisfaction. Let me explain.
We have been forced to become less trusting than
just a few decades ago. Something that happened
in Oklahoma in 1950 probably could not
happen today.
In 1950 a man calling himself F. Barn Morrison
went to Wetumka, Oklahoma, and persuaded local
residents to put up the money to bring a circus
to town. They did not know Morrison, but trusted
his word. Merchants bought plenty of food,
beverages, and souvenirs in preparation for the
crowds of people who were bound to attend. And
Morrison sold advance tickets. The townspeople
were ecstatic at the thought of a circus in
their very own town! Children could hardly sleep
at night.
Unfortunately, ecstasy turned into misery when
Mr. Morrison slipped quietly away with all the
money. There would be no circus. The townspeople
were simple victims of misplaced trust.
The trust factor teaches us that every time our
ability to trust is lowered, our happiness and
life satisfaction levels are lowered, too.
The story has a happy ending, however. Someone
came up with the idea of holding a four-day
celebration anyway. And why not? They had all
the food and goodies. Calendars were cleared
and, besides, everyone's heart was set on having
a good time.
They called their party The Sucker Festival. In
a display of good-natured fun, people celebrated
the fact that they'd been suckered big time!
I understand that The Sucker Festival, or Sucker
Day, has been held most every year since. The
Wetumka folk even tried for a number of years to
contact the so-called Mr. Morrison so they could
invite him to the festival - but he was nowhere
to be found.
Modern society chips away at trust. We teach our
kids in school about "stranger danger." We
feverishly guard our identities against theft.
People we don't know we cast under clouds of
suspicion.
Yet trust is a vital part of successful living.
I enjoy Elsa Einstein's simple statement of
confidence in her husband Albert. "No, I don't
understand my husband's theory of relativity,"
she said, "but I know my husband, and I know he
can be trusted."
The trust factor also teaches that the happiest
and most successful people share two traits:
they are trustworthy and they have the ability
to trust others.
First, they can be trusted. They have confidence
in themselves and are known to be honest and
dependable.
Second, they can also name one or more friends
or family members they trust completely. They
can be vulnerable and "real" with these people.
Factor trust into your life if you want to be
truly happy.

FOOD OF THE WEEK

The Green Flowery
Healthy Disease Proofing Vegetable!
As I washed and cut little floweret's into the steamer I stopped to
think about just how healthy is this food I'm about to serve? Is it
healthy? Will it make our body's better? Those are questions we should
always ask when putting food into our body and this one particular
vegetable is tops for answering YES to all of them?

When it comes to nutritional value, broccoli is at the top of the list.
It is rich in vitamins, high in fiber, low in calories and contains as
much calcium as milk and much healthier. By including broccoli regularly
in your diet you can reduce and prevent ailments like cancer, diabetes,
osteoporosis and heart disease.
Want to know how to beat prostate cancer? Your physician will probably
tell you to take prescription drugs. That's the pharmaceutical industry
trained doctor's answer who doesn't know better! For a dual killer of a
lot of nasty illnesses mix tomato and broccoli, said to help reverse
breast cancer, colon cancer, leukemia and other cancers of the body.
Why not something that is safer that your body is built to accept 100%
and is proving to be far better for fighting diseases.
This green vegetable that looks like a bush, should be on everyone's
plate on a regular basis, if they wish to stay healthy! Broccoli has
been around for more than 2000 years. During the 16th century, the plant
was grown in Italy and France. It began to be commercially grown in the
United States in the 1920s. The word "broccoli" derives from the
Italian 'Brocco' meaning arm branch. Broccoli is related to
cabbage, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. The most common type of
broccoli sold in the U.S. is called sprouting, or Italian green,
broccoli; its light-green stalks are topped by umbrella-shaped clusters
of purplish-green florets. It is also known as Calabrese, after the
Italian province of Calabria, where it was first grown. Other broccoli
types are:
Broccolini: a cross between broccoli and Chinese kale.
Broccoflower: a cross between broccoli and cauliflower, comes in
a single large head, like cauliflower, but is green rather than white.
Broccoli sprouts: a particularly concentrated source of
sulforaphane. They're expensive, but a little goes a long way.
Broccoli is an antioxidant rich food filled with the minerals Calcium,
Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Zinc, Copper, Manganese
and Selenium. Rich in vitamins such as; Vitamin C, Thiamin, Riboflavin,
Niacin, Pantothenic acid, Vitamin B-6, Folate, Folic acid, Vitamin B-12,
Vitamin A, Retinol and Vitamin E. broccoli really delivers in the
nutrition department.
A University of Illinois-Urbana study found that rats eating a
combination of broccoli and tomatoes had a lower rate of tumor growth
than rats eating broccoli or tomatoes separately. Researcher John
Erdman said the two foods bring out the best in each other, and maximize
the cancer-fighting effect of the nutrients they contain. You can mix
the two for optimum illness fighters!
When choosing broccoli in the market, select organic heads that
have tight and compact bud clusters with an even dark color. The stems
should be a lighter green than the buds and easy to pierce with a
fingernail. Avoid stalks with yellowed or open bud clusters and stems
that are hard and dry. Broccoli can be stored, unwashed, in a plastic
bag in the refrigerator crisper for days. Before use, wash by rinsing in
purified/filtered water with a splash of vinegar for disinfectant.
Storing broccoli: Refrigeration slows the conversion of sugar to
lignin, thereby preserving texture and flavor; keeping broccoli chilled
also protects vitamin C content. Store broccoli in an open plastic bag
in the refrigerator crisper, which will provide the right balance of
humidity and oxygen. Do not wash broccoli before storing; although it
needs moisture to remain fresh, any water on its surface will encourage
spoilage. Fresh broccoli is best if used within a day or two of
purchase, but it will keep for up to four days in a crisper. Once
cooked, any leftovers may be refrigerated for two to three days in a
tightly covered container.
Our favorite ways of eating broccoli are steamed with a splash of
seasoned rice vinegar, or raw with other veggies as a salad with lemon
juice with virgin olive oil or flax seed oil as dressing. Also I like
raw broccoli flowerets with sliced tomatoes and sliced sweet onions.
Grandchildren like them with a bit of ranch dressing, which I don't
think of as healthy, but a little once in a while isn't going to kill
them and it gets them to eat the broccoli! I try to make Ranch dressing
fresh so it's not quite as lethal.
Here is a great recipe:
Broccoli with Garlic
1 bunch of broccoli, OR 1 pound of frozen chopped broccoli
2 medium fresh tomatoes (cut into bite size pieces)
6 garlic cloves
1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons purified/filtered water
1/4 teaspoon hot (cayenne) pepper (optional)
Wash broccoli and cut into small florets. Cut the tender parts of the
stem into smallish cubes or save add to stew or make Broccoli Slaw.
Steam broccoli in until barely tender and still bright green. Don't
overcook! For all cruciferous, this is a very important guideline!
Place olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Chop or mince the
garlic. When the oil is hot, add sea salt, then the garlic. Saute'
stirring frequently, just until the garlic starts to soften. Quickly
add the water, and the cayenne if desired. Turn heat low and simmer for
a couple of minutes.
Place the broccoli and fresh tomatoes in a large glass or crockery
serving bowl. Pour the garlic mixture over it, mixing gently to coat
each piece evenly. Serve and enjoy.
Chill leftovers and add to salad the next day.
Now go get some broccoli for your next meal, enjoy and know you are
eating for health!
