My answers to readers question come from 20+ years as a Medical Office Nurse along with my ongoing education in nutritional and alternative treatment modes along with my many years of friendship with Dr. Wayne Garland, a very knowledgeable naturopath and herbologist, who many years ago, beat his cancer death sentence given by the traditional medical world, has helped me along this path and hopefully help to give hope to those who need it... I am not a doctor or dentist and you should not think of me as one!! My years observing life and health of the many people/patients around me and the contradictions of the traditional medical world's idea of treating - prescription domino effect - while watching those same schooled methods that aren't relieving illness but creating far more than they help. Those same medical professionals aren't telling people how to get healthy or how to prevent illness, which led me to look for something to change that premise for myself and those around me. In looking outside the Westernized medical profession I found and continue to find alternatives that really work to create health and longevity -when adhered to - beyond anything the traditional medical world can do...

QUESTION:
 
I am 43 years old and have gone through hell, healthwise.
I have had my gallbladder removed a few years ago with no resolution in my problems. I have episodes of vomiting and diarrhea that nothing seems to stop and I've been told I have ulcers and given several different medications but the pain and the problems continue. I end up in ER two or three times a month from the pain and vomiting and now the doctors simply give me a pain shot and send me home with no help stopping these episodes.
 
I experience severe upper torso pain to the point I cannot stand it and my family thinks I'm dying and keep taking me to ER. I do not want to go back for just pain shots I want to know how I can stop all these problems? I have lost so much weight this last year I look like a broomstick.

The pain starts just under the right rib cage but almost immediately seems like my whole torso especially the back kidney area is excruciating burning and severe bending over type pain. I end up throwing up and can't hold anything down, the reason for pain shots along with something to stop the vomiting, which doesn't really work well until the pain stops on its own. All the shots do is knock me out and I somewhat sleep off and on through the pain.
 
Lena, I'm at my wits end and my brother-in-law told me what you did for his heart and thyroid problem last years and he is really doing great so wonder if you have any ideas and can help me?

ANSWER:
 
I X'd out Paula's phone number so she won't be bothered by calls as I don't have her permission to publish it? I called Paula and asked if she had been evaluated for kidney stones and she said she had not for many years but when she was 20 she had had a kidney stone that passed but she can't remember the symptoms at that time. We talked about her pain, vomiting, weight loss and diarrhea and below is my findings and recommendations...
 
Paula; my personal opinion is that you have two things happening.
 
Foremost it sounds like you are experiencing kidney stone pain from the description and our discussion on the phone. Hence the feeling of pain and burning filling your whole torso shortly after it starts just below your rib cage and radiating to the rest of your torso. Very typical and I do not understand why some doctor has not figured that out. REMINDER: Going to ER is not a way of obtaining treatment of any problem it is simply there for immediate emergent relief and you are expected to see your personal physician following ER visits, if you are not admitted to the care of a hospital physician.
 
Secondly you are no longer producing hydrochloric acid in your stomach nor do you have the balance of flora in the intestines to keep you healthy and that is caused from all the antibiotics, anesthesia's, pain medications, Nexium, Prilosec and various ulcers medications. Any of the stomach medications will kill the hydrochloric acid glands that your stomach and intestines need to process foods and get nutrients into your system, hence the weight loss. That opens you for all kinds of bacteria/viruses that is most commonly passed through the body without problems but with that happening is most likely causing your vomiting and diarrhea from the intestinal system being unable to pass it through your body. Antibiotics and anesthesia kill the natural germ/viral killing flora in your intestines and stomach, as that natural flora is imperative to healthy organs. On top of that with all those meds depleting your system you are like 90% of others in the world, you do not have a minerals balance necessary for utilizing nutrients you ingest leaving your body starving in a malnourished state and creating a perfect atmosphere for producing stones. Since you had gallstones and they removed your gallbladder that leaves the other organs to suffer from the stone formations of which kidneys produce this type of pain.
 
Some things you could to do;
 
Lets do this in steps so we can figure out exactly what is going on. First Get Primal Defense - 1 caplet with each meal and 2 at bedtime until further notice. Along with the Primal Defense Ionic Silver Water 3 Tablespoons every 4 to 5 hours while awake, to kill any stomach invaders that have most likely taken up residence in your stomach as a result of no probiotics or hydrochloric acid to keep them away.
 
Three days after doing those two things then start Life Transfusion Ionic Liquid Minerals 1/2 teaspoon in 6 to 8 ounces of either V8, orange/pineapple, carrot or beet juice or Lemonade. That amount will be increased after a week until you are taking 1 teaspoon twice a day. A Minerals imbalance opens the body for stone formation and this will need to be taken for life to prevent your stones.
 
To deal with the kidney stones and pain - the following kidney stone dissolving juice usually starts to relieve pain within and hour or less. Since you just got over the last pain episode I would do this ASAP to begin the process of dissolving the stones and preventing further stones production!
 
Beet/Apple organic juice concoction.
 
- 8 organic beets juiced
- 2 organic apples juiced (any kind but preferably a red one)
1/2 teaspoon Life Transfusion Ionic Liquid Minerals -  in every other glass full.
- Mixed all well -

(The apples and beets should be approx the same diameter to make it exacting!) 
Drink a a 6 to 8 ounce glass every three hours the first day then once or twice a day for the next week! When in the throes of painful stone attack as much as 24 ounces with 1 teaspoon liquid minerals can be tolerated?

THE BROADCASTING STATION

George Washington Carver observed, "I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in." But it is sometimes hard to hear the message when it is broadcast by equipment that is dirty, corroded and abused. Carver was born 150 years ago, before we used terms like toxic waste, air pollution, global warming and deforestation. Today, we have figured out that we need to take good  care of the broadcasting station if we are to hear what the Divine is saying.

This is a beautiful and fragile planet we live on. As much as we can fall in love with magnificent sunsets and pristine landscapes, few people have ever experienced its beauty as acutely as those who've seen it from afar.

Senator Jake Garn was one of those privileged people. He observed earth aboard Discovery Space Shuttle and wrote of that experience in "Parade Magazine" (11-3-85). "I know now what if feels like to be out of this world," he said. "The experience is exhilarating, breathtaking, awesome. No. Those words aren't strong enough; space flight is indescribable." Listen to these words from his space diary:

"I was overcome by the beauty of the earth below. I don't think the words exist to convey what it's like to see the earth from space. The curve of the earth, the swirling eddies, the patterns of clouds marbling the surface above the brilliantly blue color of the water and the blue-green of the land, the sheer beauty of the earth and the excitement of being in a position to see it made this the greatest experience of my life. Using binoculars, I once counted 22 discernible layers of blue in the band of sunrise color that would be seen from earth simply as blue."

This is indeed a beautiful and fragile planet. But it's changing. And we humans are the cause of much of it. George Burns once quipped, "I can remember when the air was clean and sex was dirty." All right, he lived to be 100, but we can bring those days of clean air back. We can live simply and responsibly. We can walk gently upon the face of the earth.

And with our broadcasting station once again in good order, I think I know what we'll hear God saying: "Thank you."
