Janeece Writes: "Thank
you for this opportunity to get another opinion and the

was cut open from side to side with this head tied to

I have always felt that I had to know all sides to a
problem and then make a decision for myself and I hope
that will be your attitude as well!

QUESTION:
Thank you for this opportunity to get another opinion
and the ability to inquire as to what alternative
methods of dissolving kidney stones and flushing the
kidneys that you would recommend, including natural pain
relievers, rather than traditional chemicals that kill
our liver cells. The last time my husband had kidney
stones, he was cut open from side to side with this head
tied to his feet. Yes, that sounds barbaric but I'm told
it's common happening with kidney surgery. This time, we
are doing our best to reduce the pain, flush the
kidneys, and dissolving the kidney stones at the same
time. I will look forward to your reply.
Janeece
ANSWER:
Janeece you are the third person asking this question or
a similar question regarding stones this week so I am
publishing your inquiry for the others who have not
asked.
Kidney stones
all have one thing in common; they start from a
microscopically small acid crystal and grow slowly. Most
people who have stones live a more sedentary life, which
I believe is one good reason to make sure exercise is a
daily ritual. That is not the case in all stones but the
majority.
Different conditions cause the formation of stones and
they are; calcium (hypercalciuria), oxalate
(hyperoxaluria), or uric acid (hyperuricosuria)
in the urine; a lack of citrate in the urine; or
insufficient water in the kidneys to dissolve waste
products. The kidneys must maintain an adequate amount
of water in the body to remove waste products. If
dehydration occurs, high levels of substances that do
not dissolve completely (e.g., calcium, oxalate, uric
acid) may form crystals that slowly build up into kidney
stones. The four most common types of stones are
comprised of calcium, uric acid, struvite and cystine.
Calcium; 70% of all Kidney stones are Calcium
stones, composed of calcium that is chemically bound to
oxalate (calcium oxalate) or phosphate (calcium
phosphate). Of these, calcium oxalate is more common.
Calcium phosphate stones typically occur in patients
with metabolic or hormonal disorders such as
hyperparathyroidism and renal tubular acidosis.
Best prevented by staying away from dairy products and
meats, especially luncheon meats and adding more fruits
and vegetable. Animal food is very high in calcium, but
also very high in protein. When you consume it, as part
of the digestive process of any high protein food, you
often end up excreting out more calcium as your body
attempts to utilize all this protein. All this calcium
pouring out of your blood and flooding through your
Kidneys actually overloads your Kidneys with Calcium.
Uric acid; Approximately 10% of stones. The
digestion of protein produces uric acid and when the
acid level in the urine is high or too much acid is
excreted, the uric acid may not dissolve and uric acid
stones may form, which are more common in men. This Uric
Acid buildup is often caused by a bad diet, high in
animal foods which contain tons of uric acid along with
processed foods, junk foods, etc. Men tend to eat a lot
of lunch meats and drink alcohol setting them up for
that very scenario!
Struvite;
Struvite stones are more common in women because they
have urinary tract infections more often. The stones
usually develop as jagged structures called "staghorns"
and can grow to be quite large.
Cystine;
Cystine is an amino acid in protein that does not
dissolve well. Rare, but some people inherit a rare,
congenital condition that results in large amounts of
cystine in the urine. This condition (called cystinuria)
causes cystine stones that are difficult to treat and
may require life-long therapy.
The most common traditional treatments for kidney
stones are:
1) Shock wave lithotripsy (SWL) is the clinical
procedure by which kidney stones are broken up with
acoustic shock waves. The shock waves are generated
outside the body and focused onto the kidney stones.
Although SWL is very popular, there is growing evidence
that lithotripsy shock waves cause acute damage to the
kidney and that some patients suffer long-term
complications following SWL. I believe SWL should only
be used when a stone is stuck and not passing.
2) Surgery removal, as a last resort since so many
things can go wrong and there will be residual scar
tissue left that can create problems as severe as the
stones.!
3) Holmium Laser; a holmium laser is able to break up
kidney stones of all types with 100% effectiveness. Side
effects not yet known!
4) Analgesics (pain meds) and fluids, which is used in a
"wait for passing" mode!
Non-Traditional Natural healthy treatment:
Most immediate natural relief that I know about and
helps with dissolving of a stone is a special juice;
Beet/Apple Juice
8-10 beets juiced
Juice from 2 apples (any kind but preferably a red one)
Some people add 1 Tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar, but it's
not necessary!
Drink a minimum of 8 ounce glass two or three
times a day until stone is dissolved or passes. Then two to three glasses a week, thereafter, for prevention
of formation beyond those little crystals causing pain
producing stones. [When in the throes of painful stone
attack as much as 24 to 36 ounces can be tolerated?]
Since he is a chronic stone builder he might want to go
with a Flush to expel all types of stones that may exist
in his organs? The flush that I'm aware of and know that
has worked for friends and other clients is online
because of it's length.

LET GO!
One newspaper advice columnist was asked if there was a
predominant theme in her readers' request for help. She replied, "Yes,
there is -- fear. People are afraid of losing their loved ones, their
health, their wealth. People are afraid of life itself."
Going to the dentist is a fearful experience for many people. One man
jokingly listed his middle name as "Wimp" on the admittance form. The
receptionist read it, laughed and assured him that there was nothing to
worry about. "Besides," she added, "many patients felt the same way."
Half an hour later, the same receptionist came into the waiting room.
Looking directly at the nervous patient, she said, smiling, "The doctor
will now see the wimp."
Three other people got up with him.
At least those people were there! Too often we find it easier to avoid a
thing we fear and never grow beyond it. In order to do all we want to do
and to live as fully as possible, we will have to learn to manage our
fears.
I believe that it was Dr. Paul Tournier who once compared life to a man
swinging on a trapeze. Back and forth he went. The bar was his whole
life -- back and forth, back and forth. He hung on tightly and felt
secure. He knew nothing other than swinging on the trapeze -- back and
forth.
Then one day another bar came into view and he faced a dilemma. What was
he to do? Should he reach for the new bar? Should he take the chance ...
abandon the security he'd always known and venture forth to a new place?
He felt excited, and a little scared.
The moment of truth dawned, however, when he realized that, in order to
reach the new bar, he would have to LET GO of the old one. The thought
terrified him. But he knew that he could never move ahead unless he left
the place where he was.
Our lives are filled with fearful moments and anxious decisions.
Managing the fear sometimes means letting go and just doing it. It's the
only way to move ahead.
Do you need to let go and take hold of that new thing? The reward could
be the life you've been wanting.
