QUESTION #1:
I don't mean to take up your time, but you give such
good advice that I wanted to get it on the following. My
wife and I heard an in-law tell us about her brother who
had a mole that was left untreated and it developed into
skin cancer and has spread throughout his body, causing
concern for them. Unfortunately he is in a hospital now
and will be undergoing the cut and burn routine. This
caused us concern because I have several moles,
including one large one on my upperchest area that has
been there for several years. Have you run across
anything, other that cutting, that can be done for
moles?
Charles
ANSWER:
You're not wasting my time Charles! And thanks for the
compliment. Yes skin cancer can be very dangerous when
left untreated or undetected!
I don't usually start an answer with this but this is
one time I say start with your doctor since your moles
already exist and verify that they really are a problem
or not! 99 out of 100 are not but there is that 1 that
could be bad news. So get your body to a GOOD
dermatologist and have the spots checked out. I say
dermatologist because I have seen Internists and GP's
say a spot was nothing but looked suspicious to me and I
urged the patient to see a dermatologist and my
suspicions were confirmed. So do not depend on your
regular physician for this problem... Usually moles and
skin tags are nothing but if they are, REMOVAL is the
best treatment then there are things you can do that
will prevent them from reoccurring... It is fast and for
the most part painless and done under local anesthesia.
There are some alternatives listed below but first do
you understand the different types of skin cancers and
how to detect if they are cancer or not?
There are three main types of skin cancers:
Basal Cell, Occurring in the outer layer of the
skin and usually slow growing and almost always 100%
curable when detected and removed. One out of every
three cancers diagnosed each year is basal cell
carcinoma. Usually found in sun exposed areas of the
body such as the face, ears, neck, scalp, shoulders, and
back. In addition, basal cell carcinoma sometimes
resembles non-cancerous skin conditions such as
psoriasis or eczema. Only a trained Dermatologist, a
specialist in diseases of the skin, can tell you for
sure.
Squameous Cell, also slow growing most of the
time but there definitely can be an exception to the
rule. This one invades your body and can be terminal
when not taken care of soon enough. (That is the one I
had on my lip in 1995 and ended up with two surgeries,
which removed it and continues to be free of cancer.)
Melanoma, #1 serious; Now this one is a
fast growing killer cancer that will invade the whole
body fast or slow and modern medicine doesn't have a
very good cure rate after it has spread. More info
further down...
Any unusual change on the skin can be a warning sign of
skin cancer... Signs to look for are;
* An Open Sore that bleeds, oozes, or crusts and remains
open for three or more weeks on any area of the body. A
persistent, non-healing sore.
* A Reddish Patch or irritated area, frequently
occurring on the chest, shoulders, arms, or legs.
Sometimes the patch crusts. It may also itch or hurt. At
other times, it persists with no noticeable discomfort.
*A Shiny Bump or nodule, that is pearly or translucent
and is often pink, red, or white. The bump can also be
tan, black, or brown, especially in dark-haired people,
and can be confused with a mole.
*A Pink Growth with a slightly elevated rolled border
and a crusted indentation in the center. As the growth
slowly enlarges, tiny blood vessels may develop on the
surface.
*A Scar-like Area which is white, yellow or waxy, and
often has poorly defined borders. The skin itself
appears shiny and taut. Although a less frequent sign,
it can indicate the presence of an aggressive tumor.
Melanoma is the most common type of Skin Cancer
and not limited to just the visible skin area and has
some different appearances from squameous cell or basal
cell. Melanoma is a type of cancer that forms in
melanocytes (pigment producing cells). Of the many
different types of melanoma, most are seen in the skin
but not limited to and including nail beds, soles of the
feet, and scalp. However, it can also be found in the
eye, anal canal, rectum, and vagina. Melanoma is on the
rise in the United States, accounting for about 4% of
all cancers. The amount of new cases has steadily
increased each year, but researchers say they are unsure
why. They may be unsure but I'm not, even if I don't
have absolutes I've read enough scientific studies over
the last fifteen years pointing to a mineral imbalance
in patients with cancer, disease and illnesses. How they
keep missing that fact is beyond me, but add to that
the fact that our farming earth has become totally
absent mineral content along with the environment being
saturated with chemicals of all kinds and skin care,
hair care and cleaning products rampant in carcinogens
this will happen more and more in all cancer and chronic
illnesses. It's a total miracle that there isn't
100% illness? Now things to look for to denote Melanoma;
*Asymmetry. Unlike benign moles, which are
generally round and symmetrical, early melanomas usually
are shaped irregularly. Draw a line down the center of
the mole or growth. If the pattern on both sides of the
line is not equal, then that lesion is asymmetrical.
*Borders. Malignant melanomas generally have
irregular edges.
*Color variegation. The color of malignant
melanomas is often variegated (mottled), ranging from
tan to brown and black, and sometimes containing blue,
red or white areas within the mole.
* Diameter enlargement. Diameter enlargement of a
mole in excess of six millimeters (1/4 inch) may be a
warning sign of melanoma.
Until such time that you get to a dermatologist here are
some alternatives to use that has been shown to stop or
prevent cancer from occurring in moles and abnormal skin
tags try some of the following;
1. With a cotton swab; Apply
Liquid Minerals to area morning and evening and take
20-30 drops internally twice daily.
2. Spray with
Ionic
Silver Water three times a day.
3. Apply
Shark Liver Oil Topical Ointment three times a day.
4. Build your Immune System so that any invading
virus or bacteria cannot get ahold on your body in any
area.
To do that: take
Life
Transfusion Ionic Liquid Minerals,
Immune
Support and
Antioxidants daily...
5. Apply Castor Oil, if you can find it, to the affected
area three times a day.
Number 4 is the best way of preventing cancer in any
form in the body...
Hope this helps.

QUESTION #2:
Greetings,
I wanted to express my appreciation for your articles.
My sister opened a whole new world of natural medicine
to me and referred me to you ezine. I find it very
informative.
Now for my questions, I have recently begun taking a
juice supplement Sibu Balance. It is made from the
Seabuckthorn berry. I was curious if you had an opinion
good or bad about a product like this?
I go through a distributor at
www.gotsibu.com to purchase it, but you can find
more information about the actual product at
www.sibuinternational.com/heavenlyfruit
Thanks for your time,
Bruce
ANSWER:
Thanks for the compliment Bruce. Thank your sister for
me...
On to the Sibu Balance question; You asked for it and I
won't mince words but here goes... Good only if you are
severely nutritionally unbalanced so that a little
nutrition is better than none at all. Any juice if
obtained right will be good for you in moderation and
this is the same. If you are looking for a total health
product Sibu Balance isn't it and over the long haul
will most probably not keep you from becoming ill or
getting healthy from major problems. As I looked at Sibu
Balance (Buckthorn berry juice)through several site eyes
I find that it's missing 60 minerals as it only contains
20 of those needed by your body, for a full balance your
body requires a full 84 minerals and trace minerals...
It's also missing a lot of vital vitamins and I
personally wouldn't buy it simply because it's quite
expensive for missing so much. I also found everything
geared to MLM, which isn't bad but it appears to be
overpriced for what it contains... Their claim of
balance doesn't hold true in their list of nutrients...
Hope this doesn't change your opinion of me.

MOTIVATOR

ALL THE JOY YOU NEED
Thomas Aquinas once said, "No one can
live without joy." But many
people try. And the reason is often simply because they
don't know how to be happy! They are so intent on the
three Ps -- power, prosperity and prestige -- that they
miss out on joy.
Try to imagine this picture. It is a photograph taken by
Henri Cartier-Bresson, who pioneered modern photography
as an art form during the early decades of the 20th
Century. He became known for his photographs of apparent
contradictions: pictures that left mysteries
unexplained.
One of his famous photographs was shot in a poor section
of Spain in the 1930s. The picture depicts a run-down
alley surrounded by decaying walls, strewn with rubble
randomly stacked in thick piles lying on the street, and
riddled with bullet holes dotting gray walls. The
setting alone evokes feelings of sadness and despair.
But then...the contradiction. Within the grim alley
children are playing. They wear dirty and tattered
clothes, as one might expect in such a setting, but like
playing children everywhere, they laugh with carefree
joy. In the foreground, a tiny boy on crutches hobbles
away from two other boys, his face lit up with a broad
grin. One boy is laughing so hard he has to hold his
side. Others lean on the cracked walls, beaming with
delight.
It is easy to spot the contrast -- and the point. Joy
amidst the rubble of life. Laughter amongst its ruins.
We cannot avoid pain, however hard we try. But we can
avoid joy. We cannot escape hardship and trouble, but we
can miss out on much of life's peace and laughter.
If you feel as if you could use more joy, try this:
Spend time daily doing something you enjoy.
Do those things that bring inner peace.
Learn to laugh heartily and frequently.
Cultivate within yourself an attitude of hope.
Fill each day with as much love as it can possibly
hold.
You'll still have plenty of problems, but through it
all, you'll find all you joy you will ever need.

FOOD OF THE WEEK
=================
Olea europaea L
When my grandchildren were younger they liked to use this week's food as
finger fun. Each finger would have a black or green one slipped on one
or both hands and used them as fun food, waving them and plucking one at
a time off a finger and into their mouth. Some mom's would find this
disgusting but I find that children use all kinds of things for play
that can invariably end up good for them just as the olives did for my
grandchildren. They are growing up and I don't see that behavior any
longer but still fondly remember chiding them that food wasn't a toy but
secretly admiring their ability to make fun out of every aspect of
life...
The olive - Olea europaea L. - is a subtropical evergreen tree or shrub
with leaves that are waxy green on top and grayish green on the bottom.
Young bark is green, but older bark is gray. In the Mediterranean, olive
trees are known to live for over a thousand years. If the top is
damaged, a new tree will sprout from underground parts. The olive tree
gives us great food and health nutrients! Olive trees have been
cultivated for thousands of years, and were already plentiful during
biblical times. The olive can be traced back to Biblical times when a
branch in a dove's mouth sent Noah the message that dry ground existed
and he and his family could leave the ark. Olives continue to be grown
in the Mediterranean area today. The olive was also important to the
Greeks and the Romans, who made it a part of their mythologies to
celebrate the use of its oil as an essential food and fuel for lamps.
The olive leaf extract was also used to prepare the dead for burial.
The conditions for the olive's greatest cultivation is found in Italy
and Spain. It was the Spanish who spread the olive to America. Catholic
missionaries spread the olive to Mexico and later to California, as well
as to South America.
Plucked from the tree, the olive is extremely bitter, and virtually
inedible. Prior to eating, olives are typically cured, either in brine,
water or in oil. Freshly picked olives can also be stir-fried to remove
some of the bitterness before eating.
Known Health Benefits:
FRUIT:
First are the fruits processed and eaten either as ripe or pickled.
Olives are most widely used in Italian dishes...
LEAF:
Olive leaf extract has also been studied for its ability to normalize
blood pressure.
The most commonly known use of the olive is its oil:
Widely used and best for our health is the oil pressed from ripe
fruit... Like other types of vegetable oils, olive oil contains no
cholesterol. Organic virgin oil has 120 calories and 14 grams of fat per
tablespoon. The olive oil is important in prevention of heart disease.
Its high concentration of monounsaturated fatty acids, compounds
decrease blood levels of LDL cholesterol - the type associated with
plaque build-up in the arteries - and increase levels of protective HDL
cholesterol. The higher amount of monounsaturated fatty acids in olive
oil is known to help improve your cardiovascular health. Olive oil is
classified mainly by the amount of acidity, as well as the flavor, color
and aroma. "Extra virgin" olive oil meets the highest standards for low
acidity and rich and fruity taste. It should have less than .8% acidity
content. "Pure" olive oil has a lighter color and aroma, and is often
used as a general, all-purpose olive oil.
About 40% of the calories in the typical Greek diet come from olive oil.
To some that looks like a lot of fat, yet this traditional Mediterranean
style of eating -- which emphasizes fish, olive oil, whole grains, and
fruits and vegetables -- seems to contribute to the favorably low rates
of heart disease among people who live in the countries that ring the
Mediterranean Sea. Both vitamin E and polyphenols act as antioxidants,
inhibiting the development of heart disease by reducing the
oxygen-related damage along artery walls. An ingredient in olive oil
also appears to make the blood less likely to clot, reducing the chance
that an errant blood clot will block an artery and lead to a heart
attack or stroke.
In our house you will find olive oil as the only oil used and I make my
own butter spread by putting one-half butter and one-half olive oil whip
it up and into a container and refrigerate it. You cannot tell the
difference and it has no artificial anything to make it unhealthy. Try
it you will like it!
