After a few weeks off it's time to get back to the
business of helping people and today's question came in
while I was on Hiatus and she received her answer but I
assume there are others with her same wish and will be
answered today!
Over the years I found that symptoms come in cycles. The
running remarks when I worked the medical offices after
a day of seeing so many of the same symptoms was; "Satan,
the old devil isn't very smart at inventing new
illnesses and he's boring me to death!" We would see
the same types of symptoms all day long for days on end
and then it would change to another type until he ran
the course or became bored. I have never figured out which
and since he is the father of illness we gave him the
credit raves... Sure there would be one or two accidents
or chronic problems mixed in each day but for the most
part all symptoms were things that if left alone would
resolve with a few home remedies or doing nothing.
The doctors use to say if people ever wise up we will go
out of practice. People still aren't wising up to the
fact that they have been brain washed to run to the
doctor for everything! Having said that;
I
answer all health questions to the best of my ability
using what I gleaned from 20-years as a Medical Office
Nurse and Administrator along with my education in
nutritional and alternative modes. I am not a doctor and
you should not think of me as one.
Just lived many years while observing the life and
health of many in the world around me and the
contradictions of the traditional medical world's idea
of treating and that people weren't really getting
healthy so I looked for something to change that...

Hi Lena,
Lena, I am so thankful for your ezine. It is just about
the only one I read religiously because you cover so
many topics, I really am very grateful. But I cannot
find a list of foods along with their nutrient value and
was wondering if you could Please list the foods one can
eat to get the various types of vitamins and minerals
needed every day? For example: To get vitamin A you
should eat? To get vitamin B, you should eat? And so on
to get all the vitamins and minerals needed each day. I
will really appreciate if you do.

ANSWER:
Hi Roberta,
You are welcome and I would be happy to do a list such
as that BUT it simply isn't possible. Even if you could
eat the amounts needed daily you would very soon be
suffering from obesity, because the ground our foods are
grown in no longer contain near enough of the vitamins
and minerals necessary for promoting our good health,
making it necessary to eat over-the-top amounts of food.
Hence we now have more than 64% of people obese and
thinking they are at fault for that obesity. Yes, a few
of them are but most are simply victim to today's
malnourished foods... That is why you must supplement
with complete 84 mineral and trace
minerals and meganutrient
vitamins daily to supply that need... Stick with 9
servings daily of a variety of raw or steamed
vegetables, raw fruits, whole grains and nuts as much as
possible but supplementing is the only true way to
obtain all those vitamins and minerals.
Factually, you will have to eat so many fruits,
vegetables and grains that it would be a 24/7 eating
orgy in order to consume all you need from foods to get
sufficient vitamins and minerals needed daily for total
nourishment. Our body's are so lacking in those - even
anyone who eats ALL HEALTHY FOODS - that obesity has
gone wild from the constant hunger, which is the body
asking for sufficient nutrients. Have your my article "The
ABC's Of Minerals"? If not do so it will help you
understand this premise.
If you read "A Natural Environmental Health Facts" ezine
routinely you will find a food listed each Friday, which
usually lists vitamin and mineral content. But to make a
list of those that contain the amount of needed nutrient
foods is simply too cumbersome and time consuming to do,
if it were at all possible, which it isn't... Eating
fresh, raw or frozen fruits and vegetables along with
grains and nuts daily is necessary but not sufficient to
supply those needs... The same identical looking fruit
or vegetable can have varying amounts of vitamins and
minerals depending on where it's grown and if it's
organic or non-organic so that we can only know which
ones but not how much of each vitamin or mineral exists
in them. Just remember that organic grown produce,
fruits, nuts and grains contains more nutrients and no
chemicals that is responsible for altering the way your
body digests them.
I'm not giving you new information as most of this was
known in 1936...

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR VISION
The English word "thanks" comes from the same root word as "think."
But they not only share a similar background, they are related in
another way. It seems the more we think, the more we thank. One woman
illustrated the how thinking and thanking are related in a visit to the
eye doctor.
She complained to her ophthalmologist that, as she grew older, her
eyesight was getting worse. He examined her eyes and could not be
encouraging about the future of her eyesight. But to his surprise, she
did not seem to be upset. She told him all she was grateful for: her
deceased husband; her children and their families; her friends; the many
years she has enjoyed upon this earth; her vast library of memories. She
had done a great deal of thinking about these things. "My eyesight is
getting worse," she summarized, "but I'm not going to fret over that."
Her doctor later made this observation: "Her eyesight is poor, but her
vision is better than most people." She clearly saw what many never see
-- all the good in her life. And she was content.
When we take time to think, and make time to thank, we see more clearly.
It sounds like an good way to improve your vision.
