QUESTION:
I have a serious
problem with my throat. For some time it has felt very
constricted, and there are swellings or rather lumps in
the glands. One lump just to the right of my wind pipe
and next to my adam's apple, is hard and quite large
(about half an inch long by an 1/8th of an inch or so in
diameter). The other lumps are very small. When I rub my
wind pipe in the hollow area just above my rib cage it
feels a little tender to the touch, and if I press
certain areas I feel a slight shooting pain or else I
gag a little like I had an itch in my throat that was
making me gag.
Generally, my throat feels tight and dry and
uncomfortable, especially when I swallow. It feels like
something's choking me at times. I've taken antibiotics
and other drugs that haven't really helped. However,
the discomfort is relieved when I'm eating. I also find
that when I sleep it helps to relax it, and it generally
feels better first thing in the morning when I've just
wakened. I find that water fasting also helps to
alleviate the condition (in fact it's my last line of
defense), but again not completely. I've wondered if
this might be cancer, but I don't want to find out.
Besides, although the tightness has been getting
gradually worse in the last few months or so, and
suddenly took a turn for the worse about two months ago,
I've had this same lump for quite a while, so it's not
as though it's growing. I think the fasting and other
measures I've taken have also helped to stop it getting
worse.
I have to tell you that for years I've taken Ventolin
(a.k.a. Albuterol in the US) and intermittetly either
Predinisone or an accuhaler steroid for asthma sure as
Seretide, which is how I believe my glaucoma came on, or
in any case was exacerbated. It's very possible that
these drugs have led to this condition. Years ago I
used to smoke but I haven't touched cigarettes now in
about 7 years, and i have no intention of ever smoking
again. I've also suffered for years from acid reflux,
and I'm sure that that too had something to do with it.
My acid reflux is not so bad now, because since I've
started taking Apple Cider Vinegar and other natural
measures, that has greatly helped to relieve it.
Sorry for going on and on, but I wanted to make sure to
give as much detail as possible. I hope you and Dr.
Garland can help..
Best regards,
ANSWER:
I went to the
person who I feel is most qualified to answer this very
important question.
Dr. Wayne Garland. Here is his answer!
Lena thank you for
asking my advice? Sadly his/her (it doesn't say if
it's man or woman and no name signed doesn't give me a
clue) worst fear may be exactly what is happening
but without a biopsy I cannot say for sure? With a past
history of smoking and the symptoms described this is
most likely cancer or at best Hashimoto's disease.
Hashimoto's is a huge guess and probably not the
problem, mostly a thought? Either way the
tumors/growths/swellings must be shrunk... The safest
treatment would be to treat it as cancer and this is
what I'm going to suggest? You and I know that we are
seeing cancers disappear with alternative treatment so I
would like to give this person hope that we could help
do the same for him/her
Here is what I
recommend for this person;
1.:
LIQUID MINERALS.
2.:
THYROID ENERGY FORMULA.
3.: ESIAK FORMULA not Essiac tea. (You can arrange
this for him/her.)
4.:
ANTIOXIDANT FORMULA.
5.:
IMMUNE SUPPORT FORMULA.
6.:
SHARK LIVER OIL FORMULA.
7.: If female then the hormones has to be brought into
balance along with the thyroid for growths to start to
subside so would need
BALANCED WOMAN FORMULA.
If after 30 days no shrinkage is see we would need to
add Iscador and the Mistletoe Elixir…
I will give exact doses for all these should this person
choose to follow my advice and go the alternative
protocol route…
These supplements along with the 7-day cleansing diet (you
can email the suggested diet to them), following
that will include; a diet with no dairy, no meat, no
white flour, no additives, no processed foods. All
combined should find him/her with a shrinking of the
growths and with time healthy… You can arrange for this
protocol to be shipped to them and follow our normal
followup routine of the person checking in weekly or
anytime questions or concerns are warranted… If the
person adheres to our protocol I expect we should see
the same results we see in others… BUT as usual NO
guarantees if protocol not followed as recommended…
Thank you Lena for being there for these people…
Dr. G.

WISER THAN YOU KNOW!
In many areas
you are knowledgeable. But do you know that you
are wise, too? Perhaps far wiser than you
realize.
Wisdom is more
than knowledge. Wisdom is the product of lessons
learned in the school of life. Wisdom can be
hard won; for it is often birthed in the ashes
of failure.
Theodore
Levitt, of the Harvard Business School, said,
"Experience comes from what we have done. Wisdom
comes from what we have done badly." If that is
true, I am wiser than I ever imagined!
One man tells
of sitting next to a "wise" woman on a flight to
Florida. He was preparing his notes for one of
the parent-education seminars he conducted as an
educational psychologist. Bessie, an older woman
sitting next to him, explained that she was
returning to Miami after having spent two weeks
visiting her six children, 18 grandchildren and
ten great-grandchildren in Boston.
Then she
inquired what he did for a living. The man
explained that he was a doctor psychologist
specializing in children. He dreaded telling her
this, as he fully expected her to question him
for free professional advice during the
three-hour flight. Instead, she sat back, picked
up a magazine and said, "So doctor, if there's
anything you want to know, just ask me."
Bessie's years of parenting and grand-parenting
gave her what no professional degrees could --
wisdom. And though her comment may have been
made in jest, she probably could have added much
to the seminar.
Don't dismiss those mistakes and tough times you
have suffered. Don't discount your many life
experiences. You paid a high price for them. And
if you learned well, they brought you something
priceless -- wisdom!
For
everything you have done -- EVERYTHING -- has
given you experience. And if it did not all go
as well as you'd hoped, then you also gained
some wisdom. This wisdom, the progeny of your
setbacks and difficulties, may be your most
valuable asset!
Who will
benefit from your wisdom today?

FOOD OF THE WEEK
=================
Tis The Season, Not
Christmas Either!
This purple-black plant is a delectable food. One of our favorite foods
in the summer, fresh from the garden.
The purple nutrient rich Eggplant, hated by so many yet loved by a lot
also. Some people we offer fresh eggplant to say; "I don't like
eggplant because they are bitter." Well if they are not fresh that
is sometimes the case but fresh from the garden they are not at all
bitter and taste so different.
A member of the nightshade family, eggplant counts tomatoes, potatoes
and peppers as cousins.
The Spaniards of the 16th century called eggplants berengenas, or
"apples of love," while some of the botanists of northern Europe of the
same period called the species Mala insana, or "mad apple," because they
thought that eating it would make a person insane. Equally unfounded was
the idea in medieval Europe that it had remarkable properties as a love
potion. The history behind the eggplant is long and surprising to many,
therefore I will let you click to read as it would take too much room in
the ezine.
read the eggplant_history.htm

Some will tell you that an eggplant is low in nutrients but I beg to
differ. The following Minerals are found in them; Calcium, Iron,
Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Zinc, Copper, Manganese and
Selenium and vitamins haven't been left out either, they include;
Vitamin C, A, B-6, E, B-12, DFE, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic acid,
Folate and Retinol. I would not call that low in nutrients?
Eggplant comes in several varieties.
Most often found in stores and gardens are the Large Oval eggplant with
various names such as; Dusky, Epic (tear-drop shaped), Black Bell (round
to oval, productive), Black Magic, Classic (elongated oval, high
quality), Black Beauty, Burpee Hybrid, Ghostbuster 9white, slightly
sweeter than purple types oval). Oval Santorini (Whimsical in nature,
white in color, this particular 'fruit' needs no watering. Sweet to
taste, juicy and quite delicious, this eggplant is beloved by chefs
since it does not absorb oil. Lovers of good cuisine should be aware
that only in Santorini can one sample this unique delicacy.)

Then there are thinner elongated types; Ichiban, Slim Jim,lavender,
(turning purple when very small as a peanut) Little Fingers (6 to 8
inch).
With a third type and usually looked at as edible ornamental eggplant
called the Easter Egg (small white, egg-sized, shaped, turning yellow at
maturity).

The nutrients vary slightly from one type to the other but all quite
nutritious and healthy!
Eggplant stores poorly and prefers a temperature of 50 degrees, and
therefore doesn't keep very well at room temperature or in the
refrigerator. So growing your own is the smart move to assure freshness
or if you purchase at the store should be used within the next 48 to 72
hours.
Here is a great Greek Style Eggplant dish that most love!
Stuffed Eggplant Greek Style
INGREDIENTS:
4 large eggplants
1/2 cup olive oil
Coarse kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper
4 onions, chopped medium
6 garlic cloves, chopped
1 28-ounce can whole, peeled tomatoes
1/4 cup parsley
2 tablespoons basil
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 pounds ground lamb (optional)
1/2 cup white wine
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
4 tablespoons butter, plus extra for baking
4 tablespoons flour
2 cups scalded milk
4 eggs
10 tablespoons bread crumbs
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
PREPARATION:
··Prick
eggplants several times with a fork. On a large baking sheet, roast
eggplants in 400 degree oven until soft, 35 to 45 minutes, turning
frequently to prevent charring. Cool and slice eggplants lengthwise into
1/2-inch pieces. In a saute pan heat 1/4 cup olive oil and brown
eggplant slices, 1 to 2 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with kosher salt.
SAUCE:
In a saucepan heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat, add 1
chopped onion and 2 chopped garlic cloves and saute until tender. Add
tomatoes and their liquid. squeeze the tomatoes in your hands into
broken into coarse chunks. Add parsley, pepper, basil, cumin, cinnamon
and vinegar. Bring the sauce to a boil and then reduce to a simmer and
cook, uncovered, until sauce becomes thick, about 20-30 minutes.
Yield: 3 1/2 cups sauce.
PREPARATION FOR THE OPTIONAL LAMB FILLING:
* Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil with onions and garlic over medium-high
heat; saute until tender, 5 minutes.
* Add lamb and brown well, breaking up pieces with a wooden spatula
until the pieces are no larger than 1/4 inch.
* Add wine, bring to a boil and cook until wine has reduced almost
completely.
* Season meat with salt, pepper and nutmeg and stir in 1/2 cup tomato
sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.
BECHAMEL SAUCE:
* In a saucepan melt butter, not artificial butter either, over
medium-low heat and gradually whisk in flour to make a roux.
Cook 1 minute, whisking constantly, but do not let the roux get brown.
Slowly whisk in warm milk. Bring bechamel sauce to a slow boil, whisking
constantly,
then reduce heat to barely simmering and cook 20 - 25 minutes until
smooth and thickened.
Remember to stir occasionally so as not to let the sauce stick. Season
with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Let cool slightly.
* In a bowl whisk the eggs and then whisk in spoonful of sauce to warm
the eggs so they will not scramble.
Slowly whisk in the remaining sauce and adjust seasoning to taste, if
needed.
FINAL ASSEMBLY:
*Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large baking dish or lasagna pan
(18x8x3-inches) sprinkle 2 tablespoons bread crumbs and cover evenly
with half of eggplant. (If meat used drain as much oil from mixture as
possible, can squeeze meat in a paper towel and spread over eggplant;
top with half of the feta cheese, then with half of remaining bread
crumbs. Layer remaining eggplant, then bechamel sauce, remaining feta
cheese and remaining bread crumbs in even layers.
Dot top generously with butter. Bake 45 minutes until bubbly and top is
well-browned. If necessary, brown top briefly under a preheated broiler.
Cool slightly and cut into 3-inch squares to serve.
Serve with extra tomato sauce, if desired.
