Hello,  My name is Sheri .  I have 4 cavalier king charles spaniels ranging in age from 8 to 1yr.    The three youngest have blood platelet levels that are very low ranging from 20,000 to 96,000.  Two of the dogs are full sisters (2 yrs apart) and the third with the low platelet count is unrelated in any way.  What can be done holistically to treat instead of going the steroid route?  Should I be looking to the shark liver oil?  Tests for tick associated disease have as yet to come back with results.  Have been unable to identify the offending object(s) that is common to all three yet has not affected the fourth.
 
They all eat the same food, sleep in the same general area, drink the same water, and are in the same area of the yard.

Sheri, thank you for your question and I'm sorry your pets are not as healthy as they could be...

Poor canine's immune systems are most likely non existent at this point and risking their lives should they come in contact with a serious illness and/or setting them up for a horrific disease to invade their body...
