What early warning signs are carried in your fingers? Some fingernail changes can be indicative of problems within your body!  Here are but a few indications that may save your life and/or avoid serious health issues when caught early!
 
Brittle soft and shiny nails without a moon at the base; can be indicative of an overactive thyroid.
 
Brittle nails alone; can be indicative of a possible Iron deficiency, multiple minerals deficiency,  thyroid problems or impaired kidney function and/or circulatory problems.
 
Dark and/or flat spoon shaped nails; can be indicative of A Vitamin B12 deficiency or anemia can be detected.
 
Dark and/or thin, flat spoon-shaped nails along with gray or dark colored nails; may be indicative of anemia or simply putting your hands into chemicals such as household cleaning products or bleach.
 
Downward-curved nail ends; may let you know there is a liver, heart or respiratory problem.
 
Bumps or lumps (called beading) just appear on the nail surface; you may have impending or full blown rheumatoid arthritis.
 
Vertical Ridges; may indicate poor nutrient absorption, and/or Iron deficiency, kidney problem or a tendency to develop arthritis.
 
Horizontal Ridges; can result from stress, either/or psychological or physical as in the case of disease or infections.
 
Chipping, peeling, cracked or break easily nails; show a general overall nutritional deficiency and digestive system not functioning caused by insufficient hydrochloric acid and protein. This is seen in people who use antacids on an ongoing basis or eat foods low in nutrients. This calls for total minerals and Vitamins at triple the RDA's.
 
Pitting red-brownish spots with frayed split ends; are indicative of psoriasis and/or a severe Vitamin C, folic acid and protein deficiency.
 
Black splinterlike bits under the nails; can be a sign of either a serious heart infection called endocarditis and/or other heart disease. And/or a possible bleeding disorder.
 
Very thick nails; can be indicative of the vascular system weakening and the blood is not circulating throughout the body as it should. Also can be indicative of thyroid disease.
 
Very pale nails; can be indicative of; aging. Or a sign of serious illness, such as: Anemia, Congestive heart failure, Diabetes, Liver disease and/or malnutrition!

Thinning nails; could signal an itchy skin disorder, called lichen planus and/or oral reticular lichen planus.

Yellow nails with upward nail tip growth; can indicate Internal disorder long before the symptoms appear. Some of the internal problems could be the lymphatic system, respiratory disorders, thyroid disease, diabetes and/or liver dysfunction and/or psoriasis. 

Yellow Nails alone; most common causes of yellow nails is a fungal infection. As the infection worsens, the nail bed may retract, and nails may thicken and crumble.

White lines in the nail could show possible heart disease, high fever or arsenic poisoning.

White Nails; when nails are mostly white with darker rims, can indicate liver problems, such as hepatitis

White moon area of the nail changes colors; red It may be indicative of heart problems. Turns blue; could indicate heavy metal Poisoning (such as silver overload) or lung problems.

Two white horizontal bands that does not move as the nail grows; are a sign of hypoalbuminemia, a protein deficiency in the blood!

Deep blue nail beds; indicate a pulmonary obstructive disorder such as asthma or Emphysema.

Bluish Nails; Nails with a bluish tint can indicate the body isn't getting enough oxygen. This could be another indicate an infection in the lungs, such as pneumonia.

Dark lines beneath the nail should be investigated as soon as possible; They are sometimes caused by melanoma, the most dangerous type of skin cancer.

Unusually wide, square nails; can suggest a hormonal disorder!

Red puffy skin around the cuticles of the nail (If the skin around the nail appears red and puffy); can be Indicative of poor metabolism of essential fatty Acids or of a connective tissue disorder, such as Lupus... 

These fingernails signs may or may not mean a serious health issue but take them serious as they can point you in the direction to improve you health and prevent a serious illness!
