If
history repeats itself today's question is one that you
may gain something but the person asking the question
doesn't understand the difference in natural medicine
and conventional medicine. I know how she will either
ponder my answer or totally discarded it. Time will
tell.
The answers
to questions submitted to me each week come from my 20+ years as a Medical Office Nurse along
with many years and ongoing education in nutritional and alternative
treatment modes. Add that to
many years of friendship with Dr. Wayne Garland,
a very knowledgeable naturopath and herbologist, who
many years ago, beat his cancer death sentence given by
the traditional medical world, has helped along the
alternatives
path and
hopefully help to give hope to those who need it... Also
receiving a lot of study reports and try to ascertain
if they are good or bad then report them to you, which
has increased my knowledge along the way and I pass them on to you to
use or not...
I am not a doctor or dentist and you should not think of
me as one!!
My years observing life and health of the many
people/patients around me and the contradictions of the
traditional medical world's idea of treating -
prescription domino effect - while watching and also was
taught those same
schooled methods that aren't relieving illness but
creating far more health problems than they help. Those same medical
professionals aren't telling people how to get healthy
or how to prevent illness, which led me to look for
something to change that premise for myself and those
around me who ask. In looking outside the Westernized medical
profession I found and continue to find alternatives
that really work to create health and longevity - when
adhered to - beyond anything the traditional medical
world can do...

QUESTION:
Hi Lena,
I am a patient that has MS (Multiple Sclerosis), and I
have been battling the symptoms of this disease for
several years. I did not know what was wrong for a long
time and neither did my doctors. If I had been diagnosed
earlier, some of the problems I have now might not
exist. Now, I am taking medication (Copaxone) and using
alternative methods to relieve my symptoms. I read your
article about starvation and MS, and I am following this
rescheme. Can you recommend some antioxidants and other
tips for managing MS.

ANSWER:
Thelma, This is a very long answer but
you have a potentially lifetime debilitating disease and
our goal is to change that fact!
First let me say a lot of health care workers have and
are developing MS. Why? hasn't been answered yet?
It is very IMPORTANT THAT YOU RECOGNI9ZE that you cannot mix
conventional pharmaceuticals with natural
herbal/nutritional medicines as they will work against
each other and you will find little to NO healing!
Being a nurse myself I know how hard that is to wrap
your brain around as it goes so against what we have
been taught. I gained the ability to remove the errors
that I had been taught many years ago and regained my
own health by doing away with my prescribed meds and
have never even put an aspirin in my mouth since. Well
there was one exception to "no drugs" in 1995 when my C7
was shattered and ground into my spine and had to have
three surgeries I was pumped full of drugs, but at least
I knew how to counter the effects of them and detoxed
the minute I was out of the hospital.
Here are some lifestyle things you should look at and
make sure you aren't doing them to cause or create MS or
other neuromuscular diseases.
1. Any diet foods or drinks that contain aspartame,
Splenda or any of the chemical artificial sweeteners.
Many neurologists have discovered this one thing alone
is created epidemic proportions of neuromuscular and
neurologic diseases. So if you use any of those STOP.
Some have been able to reverse with that one single act
but since your symptoms have been exhibited for several
years it is not very likely to be your case.
2. Do you eat or drink a lot of dairy products? Eat
white flour products? Eat non-organic meats? All of
those contain chemicals and hormones that really destroy
the immune system and create free-radicals like crazy!
That should stop immediately if you wish to regain your
health. Go with soy or rice milk or cheeses. Use 100%
whole grains for pastas, etc. No white rice only brown
rice. Virgin Olive Oil refrigerated becomes firm enough
to replace margarines or butter. First, if you choose
to discontinue use of Copaxone and go with Dr. Garland?s
alternative protocol start with
the One Month Immune Cleansing Rebuilding diet
to speed healing.
Here is Dr. Garland's Protocol the majority of MS and
neuromuscular diseases are successfully working. If
other health issues it is recommended you let us know so
Dr. Garland can make any changes that would benefit you
more? For really severe cases it will require an
injectable and a couple of other formulas.

people who don't get enough sunlight during the winter
feel depressed.

does, says the journal Psychiatry and Clinical
Neuroscience. And you don't need a whole lot to make
the difference.
Researchers at Sapporo Hanazono Hospital in Japan
studied the effects of one hour of bright light every
morning on a group of elderly women.
After
two days, the women reported improvements in alertness,
mood, motivation, happiness, refreshment, concentration
and appetite.
After
four days, there were also improvements in sleep
patterns and anxiety.

For closeness: travel. No, I don't
mean to go take a road trip or to fly away to some
exotic place. But there are ways to go deeper into a
relationship -- like traveling. And there are things we
can do to help a relationship really go somewhere. Let
me explain.
Inmate Mitchell King had a visitor -- his wife. King was
serving a six-year jail term in Auckland, New Zealand
for armed robbery. But his wife didn't want to be away
from him for that long. So they held hands. She wanted
them to always stick together - through it all. Hand in
hand, forever joined. And they did stick together. She
had rubbed her palms with Super Glue.
Their new-found closeness was short-lived. And their
separation painful. (I suggest we put the Super Glue
idea on a short list of "THINGS NOT TO DO" when we want
to grow closer.)
But if you want a deeper connection with someone your
care about, if you want relationships that are more

T is for TRUST. If we're seeking a glue to cement us to
another, then trust is that bond. A relationship will go
nowhere without it.
R is for RESPECT. Some people talk about how much they
have always respected their cherished friends and family
at a funeral. But why wait? People want to know that we
hold them in high regard. It's about valuing others and
letting them know you respect them.
A is for AFFECTION. Sometimes affection means love.
Sometimes it means a touch. Or a hug. Always it means
kindness.
V is for VULNERABILITY. Though we may feel afraid to let
another too close, no relationship will go anywhere
without taking a risk. Like entrepreneur Jim Rohn says,
"The walls we build around us to keep out the sadness
also keep out the joy." And the love.
E is for EMOTIONAL INTIMACY. It about learning to be
open. Learning to communicate freely. The quality of
relationships we make are largely determined by how
openly we communicate.
L is for LAUGHTER. Victor Borge got it right when he
said, "Laughter is the shortest distance between two
people." It's also the most enjoyable.
So for a relationship that can really go somewhere, just
remember the word "TRAVEL." Then enjoy the trip.
