BACKGROUND: The liver is the
body's major internal organ and is involved in every single body
function. It is key to all blood health, cholesterol production, fat
burning and immune system functioning. It also stores or makes vitamins,
amino acids and also is the method by which Beta Carotene is stored and
then converted into Vitamin A whenever the body signals that it requires
it.
In Chinese Medicine, the liver is so revered they call it "The

The Liver and its "sister" organ, the Kidneys are our body's filters.

that the Diet Recommendations be followed as closely as possible. Fresh,
uncooked or lightly steamed foods are best. Anything that is wrapped,
baked, canned or frozen contains preservatives and chemicals that
insidiously build up in the Liver and compromise its performance.
