In this day of foods so full of toxins, chemicals and preservatives our bodies become toxic dumps and if not cleaned regularly will deteriorate. While getting healthy naturally is the best route to go rather than taking drugs there are positives and negatives when detoxing naturally.  I say this because it is important to know that being prepared will not find you in the dark when certain things start to happen.

Those things are not really bad negatives but the fact is when removing toxins the body is going to react so that feeling better may happen after feeling worse! Not everyone goes that way but the majority will! 

First you need to know that toxins gather in fat like flies gather around dead meat! So when detoxing and if you are severely overweight you will not be fully detoxed until that fat is melted away! 

There are diets for detoxing and cleansing, most are very good for the average person not overweight, but for all people adding one step to that chosen detoxing cleansing diet that you should seriously consider and know that it can rebuild your cells and cleanse your whole body! That step is JUICING! 

That means juicing fresh whole organic fruits and vegetables daily. This is best for those who are obese or twenty or more pounds overweight. While losing weight you will also be getting healthy and rebuilding your body’s cells!  That is a great positive in my book! If you do not organic available it will more than double the time of detoxing. For the total health picture add ½ tsp. balanced minerals complex to each glass to guarantee that you rebuild healthy cells! 

The following non-organic foods that is more likely to be toxic are; Celery, Peaches, Strawberries, Apples, Blueberries, Nectarines, Bell peppers, Spinach, Cherries, Kale and Collard greens, Potatoes and Grapes and using them will slow down your detoxing and healthy cell rebuilding. 

The negative when detoxing; depending on how toxic you are, you may experience detox reactions and actually feel worse, before you feel better. Most people need three months of regular juicing before significant weight loss and toxic improvement becomes apparent. This does not mean you cannot eat whole foods but only after one day of juicing.  

Interestingly, three months is also the average lifespan of red blood cells. So in three months you should have renewed most all of your red blood cells, which would help explain the reason for less improvement prior to three months. Understand what those cells need to build healthy cells.  

Common cleansing reactions include diarrhea, flu-like symptoms and headaches.  

Once you get over that initial hurdle, however, the benefits can be nothing short of miraculous for many, such as:

•Sleeping better
•Improved memory, mental energy and cognitive understanding
•Improved focus
•Reduction in aches, pains, and headaches
•Cravings tend to disappear
 

NOTE: If you are more than twenty-five pounds overweight you should know; that about 100 times more of the toxins are stored in your fat than in your blood. And although juicing may help you shed excess fat, which would reduce toxic stores, it will not in and of itself draw it out of the obese fat. More aggressive intervention is usually required for total toxic fat reduction and melting away of that excess fat. There are natural weight loss herbal formulas to finish the trip! 

Two studies completed in 2009. One at Baylor College of Medicine and the other at UC Davis using Vegetable Juicing and for Weight Loss found that the people who included one to two glasses of vegetable juice a day lost four times the weight of the non-juice drinkers. In one of the studies, the majority of the people in it had metabolic syndrome; insulin resistance. If you're juicing for weight lose that requires a minimum of 16 ounces of fresh juice a day. Ideally, you'll want to strive for a full quart of juice, split up between the morning and the afternoon.
