Water & What Should Be In it

The World’s Biggest Weight Loss Lie starts with diet foods and drinks! If you consistently eat or drink diet foods you are buying into that lie without even realizing it! People who are consuming diet sweeteners are at the highest risk of toxic poisoning and weight gain and haven’t a clue. Dieting with most people means less foods that contain healthy nutrients and therefore that dieter is devoid of nutrients making the poisons more absorbent and setting that person up for the undertaker a few years down the road and a possible very ill end of life but not a weight loss. This will become more apparent as you read on!

If you consistently eat or drink foods that say; diet whatever (you add the name soda, juice, etc.), sugar-free, no sugar added, zero calories, low calorie, fat-free or low fat and expect to lose weight you will find that is not going to happen without a ton of exercise every single day. Those foods or drinks that state that premise have some sneaky ingredients that cause you to gain weight, not lose it, unless you do hours and hours of exercise every week and then it may not happen. Without exercise you can expect to put on weight not lose it!

Sugar-free, no sugar added, zero calories, low calorie labeled food or drink contain the worst culprits. That means either aspartame, Splenda, sucralose or other alcohol sugars such as Xylitol, Mannitol, Sorbitol . What happens if you ingest those substitutes?

* First - sugar-free substitute passed up the old substitute aspartame and is marketed as Splenda but aka sucralose marketed as zero calories or no calories; The name sucralose – Splenda - is another misleading factor. The suffix -ose is used to name sugars, not additives. Sucralose sounds very close to sucrose (regular old table sugar) and can be confusing for consumers. [The company was fined and made to remove the words "made from sugar" in their early advertising of Splenda.] I know the confusion the two terms are causing as I’ve had lots of people email me or call me asking why I think sucralose is bad? When I quiz them I find they are confusing the terms sucrose with sucralose! A more accurate name for the structure of sucralose was purposed and that name would have been trichlorogalactosucrose, but the FDA did not believe that it was necessary to use it  so sucralose was allowed. Our supposed watch dogs failed us again!

Splenda was accidently discovered while trying to create a new insecticide. I don't know about you but I cannot abide by putting things in my body that is intended to kill creepy crawly things!

Research in animals have shown that sucralose/Splenda can cause many problems in rats, mice, and rabbits, such as:

- Aborted pregnancy
- Atrophy (wasting away) of lymph follicles in the spleen and thymus
- Decreased fetal body weights and placental weights
- Decreased red blood cell count
- Diarrhea
- Extension of the pregnancy period
- Hyperplasia (enlarged/abnormal) pelvis
- Hypertrophy (enlarged) liver and kidneys
- Increased cecal (Beginning of the large intestine) weight
- Reduced growth rate
- Shrunken thymus glands (up to 40% shrinkage)

- Weight gain

Science tells us that humans absorb faster and much more than animals. This fact makes for anyone ingesting sucralose/Splenda more at risk of one of those issues! Any woman in child bearing years should definitely not consume a sugar substitute and specially Splenda/sucralose. Read labels!!!!

* Second sugar-free substitute is aspartame.  Formerly the popular sugar substitute and not very far behind Splenda/sucralose even now! What does aspartame do to those wanting to lose weight? The Congressional record in 2007 states; "It makes you crave Carbohydrates and will make you FAT". Dr. Roberts stated that when he got patients off aspartame, their average weight loss was 19 pounds per person by doing nothing but stopping aspartame. The formaldehyde in aspartame stores in the fat cells, particularly in the hips, stomach and thighs.

Since alternative practitioners and some scientists have spread the word about the dangers of aspartame G.D. Searle & Company is now in the process of changing the name. That new name is now "AminoSweet a natural sweetener" but they are looking at other names so be on the watch for another one!

The health problems and dangers showed up with the very first G.D. Searle & Company studies before Aspartame was released to the public – the same health issues as Splenda/sucralose were exhibited - but has been ignored by the FDA. If you want to see how aspartame bought into the market Click and read about it… Signs of aspartame overload/poisoning is dangerous and experienced more than most know simply because it isn’t recognized as toxic poisoning. Those toxic poisoning symptoms are; headaches, mental confusion, seizures, faulty balance and fainting. If you are having blackouts or mental fuzziness and drink diet sodas or eat processed diet foods or consume aspartame or other chemical sugar substitutes in any form, you are a heart attack waiting to happen or a long very ill life if that consumption is continued.

* Third sugar-free substitutes are Xylitol, mannitol or sorbitol; Xylitol is produced by hydrogenation of xylose, which converts the sugar (an aldehyde) into a primary alcohol. The brain becomes overpowered when a few ounces of alcohol is ingested but we have no true idea of how it reacts to this type of alcohol in what amounts.

a. Xylitol used in making of Warfarin (a very dangerous blood thinner), which causes thousands of deaths a year from bleeding and if Xylitol is consumed daily can set the body up with thin veins and arteries and if the wrong foods are eaten can cause hemorrhaging and death! – this little bit of information can be found in The Merck Index: An Encyclopedia of Chemicals, Drugs, and Biologicals (11th ed.), Merck, 1989, ISBN 091191028X , 9995.

b. Mannitol is great if you want your brain saturated and changed; Mannitol is also used as a facilitating agent for the transportation of pharmaceutical/drugs directly into the brain. The arteries of the blood-brain barrier are much more selective than normal arteries. Normally, molecules can diffuse into tissues through gaps between the endothelial cells of the blood vessels. However, what enters the brain must be much more rigorously controlled. The endothelial cells of the blood-brain barrier are connected by tight junctions, and simple diffusion through them is impossible. Another use; sometimes used as a cutting agent for heroin, methamphetamines or other illicit drugs. In popular culture, when it is used in this manner, referred to as baby laxative. Daily consumption of mannitol will result in anemia or malnourished in minerals and other nutrients. Who is controlling the mannitol when you ingest it for diet purposes? – found in Wakai A, Roberts I, Schierhout G. Mannitol for acute traumatic brain injury. Cochrane Database Syst Rev. 2005 Oct 19;(4):CD001049

c. Sorbitol can be used as a non-stimulant laxative via an oral suspension or enema. It works by drawing water into the large intestine, thereby stimulating bowel movements. Sorbitol has been determined safe for use by the elderly, although it is not recommended without consultation with a clinician.  Also used in bacterial culture media to distinguish the pathogenic Escherichia coli O157:H7 from most other strains of E. coli, as it is usually incapable of fermenting sorbitol, but 93% of known E. coli strains are capable of doing so. Sorbitol, combined with kayexalate, helps the body rid itself of potassium ions in a hyperkalaemic state. The kayexalate exchanges sodium ions for potassium ions in the bowel, while sorbitol helps to eliminate it. Sorbitol sometimes is used as a sweetener and humectant in cookies and other foods that are not identified as "diet" items. Yet sorbitol is put into a lot of foods – gum, ice cream, candy, etc. - without the thought of the danger if someone consumes one or two of those sorbitol containing products a day!

Looking at all of these, what would you say happens if you eat or drink several of these daily? Nothing good I can tell you!

Fourth NO NO - Fat-free or low fat; Remember this! No fat in your diet or consuming the majority of no/low fat foods on the grocery shelves can make you ill! This is not a well-known fact and the manufacturers of those products would not like you to know that. Only with hours and hours of study and digging deep into their own studies, not released to the public can you find that fact! Also I have a scientist friend who use to work for a couple of those food producers and he verified what I found!  Those companies would be directly impacted in their livelihood if it becomes known!

A bad thing for your health and weight loss is that no fat or low fat foods on the shelves today is the overloading of hidden sugars or diet sugar substitutes - I just covered above - to compensate for the loss of taste with the loss of fat and that fact is making people ill. Sadly no fat, low fat prepackaged processed foods does not remove fat from the body, which is supposed to be the reason for no fat diets.

If you truly want to lose weight make sure you are getting the balance of minerals you need and stop buying into the diet food fad and go with whole fresh foods and drink lots of water along with at least 10 minutes of brisk walking after each meal!

I could write for hours and hours on the dangers of the diet substitutes but I think you should get the gist of the dangers with what is above!
